First when we go into the dark room we have to turn off the lights and put on the safety lights to ensure we do not mess up our pictures. Then we can set up and expose our pictures. I exposed mine from 7-10 seconds depending on how dark it was on the negative. Then we transfer it over to the developer and leave it in there until it starts to turn dark. I usually left mine in there for 20 seconds or until I could see the whole picture. The developer uses chemicals to make the image visible. Then I put it in the stop bath for 10 seconds. The stop bath neutralizes the chemicals and stops the developer from making the image darker. After that we transferred the picture over to the fixer and left it for two minutes. The fixer removes the chemicals that are not needed from the picture. After the fixer we rinsed the picture off and squeegeed it and hung it up to dry.
